Bangladesh election February 12 2026 is not merely a routine political occasion, but rather a moment in which the citizens of Bangladesh will decide the direction of their destiny as a whole Chief Adviser of the transitional administration Muhammad Yunus said on Tuesday (February 10 2026).

In a nationally-telecast speech that aired shortly after the election concluded this Tuesday (February 10 2026) Muhammad Yunus speech ahead of polls. Yunus called for citizens to take part in the referendum that will be held on the "July Charter," which will result in significant modifications on the Constitution. Voting will be "inclusive" because 51 political parties compete for control, he claimed adding that the government in interim will "fast" give control to the government elected by voters.

"The job that the government in interim will be completed when the elections are held for the new government. We will resume our respective fields when we hand over the power with pride and joy to the new the government" stated the Mr. Yunus.

"A vote in the referendum is more than an official seal on paper. It will define the direction of the education and employment, as well as the Political stakes for India and regional relations," said Mr. Yunus. The proposed changes will put restrictions on the powers that the Premier Minister has and also give some power to President which is currently the titular figure within the structure of state in Bangladesh. This interim administration has declared a four-day break for the elections.
